This map making workshop we will host inside of Ruth Ewan´s installaton, a project called Asking Out that explores the work of Muriel Pyrah, a primary school teacher who was teaching in Yorkshire in the 1970´s. The installation by Ruth Ewan is situated on the first floor of Bergen Kunsthall which will be activated by artist and pedagog Anne Stinessen throughout the exhibition period with workshops for children, encouraging the children to ask out.

Map Making within Bergen Assembly is a mediation workshop for families and individuals, bringing together people of all ages. Within the workshops, participants are invited to make maps in different forms, such as maps of conversation, hand-drawn maps or mapping traces of our footsteps, all of which are made in response to and with specific references to the exhibition. The workshops take place every Sunday afternoon and are designed with an intergenerational methodology, open to all regardless of experience and skills.
