Bergen Assembly 2019, titled Actually, the Dead Are Not Dead, is conceived by a core group of twelve curators, artists, theorists and activists. It encompasses an exhibition across five venues and public spaces in Bergen and a series of events. The exhibition is not structured according to thematic sections or curatorial authorship but rather along constellations that repeatedly rearrange the different strands of the project. Two curatorial contributions deviate from that system. Each has its own title and space. The exhibition thus results from the interplay of individual and shared curatorial settings, of concentration and ramification.
